Please take a moment to review your project via this checklist.

  • The enclosed disk(s) contains only the files needed to output my job and no other, unnecessary files.
  • I have created my layout file in an application that is supported by Express Color and allows for color separations, printers marks, and line screen control.
  • I have avoided using font stylizing in my layout to create bold, italic, shadow or outline typefaces which often image improperly. I have selected the proper version of the typeface from the font menu. —OR— I accept that my stylized fonts may have to be replaced with a substitute typeface.
  • The enclosed disk(s) contains all the font files, both screen and printer font files, used in the layout AND in any support art files. —OR— All type has been converted to outlines/paths or a flattened graphic.
  • The enclosed disk(s) contains finished files that need no further alterations or corrections. —OR— I have included instructions for additional graphic services; i.e. scanning, color correction, typesetting, etc.
  • I have set up the file to bleed properly. —OR— My file does not bleed.
  • The enclosed disk(s) contains separate support art files for each imported graphic used in my layout. —OR— I have opted to embed all my images and I understand Express Color therefore cannot correct for color or make any changes that may be needed for proper print output.
  • Each imported support art file is saved as a high resolution (300 dpi) TIF or EPS file.
  • My job is a 4/C Process job and all art files are in CMYK mode, thereby ready to separate. —OR— My job is a spot color job and all support art files utilize proper spot color(s) across all applications (color name is exactly the same from one program to another), thereby ready to separate correctly.
  • Each imported support art file is used at 100% its native size in the layout (it is not scaled).
  • Colors which overlap may have to be trapped. I have taken care of all trapping issues myself —OR— I have indicated with my order that I wish for Express Color to handle the trapping.
  • Spelling, punctuation and grammar are my responsibility and I will not hold Express Color responsible for any errors if printed with my approval or if changes are communicated verbally.
  • I have included a mock-up or dummy proof and have indicated where any and all folds and cuts should lie. The enclosed mock-up is scaled to 100%.
